Short Description: Emblematica Online–Design and Use This session focuses on different aspects, including project management, metadata, new technology, pedagogy, and scholars’ use cases. It introduces participants to how Linked Open Data (LOD) services support humanities scholars to discover digitized European emblems easily and connect these emblems to other Renaissance texts and images available elsewhere online. We would like to demonstrate how RSA members can use Emblematica Online for their research; participants could provide some sample test cases which we can prepare beforehand. Scholars will learn to conduct searches productive for their own research. Ideally, we are also interested in user feedback: what these users like and what they need, what works better. We will conclude with a discussion of applying for such grants.
